WHO IS MY GARBAGE HAULER?
Ebensburg Borough contracts out garbage pick-up in the borough to one hauler. Hugill Sanitation is the collection agency. Residents living south of High Street will have garbage collected on Wednesdays. Residents living north of High Street will have garbage collected on Fridays. Garbage is billed bi-monthly with your water and sewer bill.
Garbage Fee = $32.20 (every 2 months)

ARE THERE RECYCLING FACILITIES AVAILABLE?
Curbside recycling will take place twice per month. Recyclables will be collected on the 1st and 3rd regular garbage collection days of each month. Materials included in Ebensburg’s residential recycling program are clear glass, amber glass, and green glass from beverage bottles and food jars; aluminum cans, steel cans, and bi-metal cans; Number 1 (PET) and Number 2 (HDPE) plastics (bottle/jug style only); and now newspapers.
Ebensburg Borough is not large enough to be required to have a recycling program, but instead does so voluntarily. Free recycling containers are available at the borough office for those wishing to participate.The closest dropoff site is located on Manor Drive, next to Lions ballpark and near Lake Rowena.

WHEN CAN I BURN IN THE BOROUGH?
Open burning is permitted in Ebensburg within the borough on Tuesdays between 8 AM and 5 PM, and on Saturday morning between 8 AM and 12 noon. All fires must be contained in a receptacle designed for burning.
